There are a few things you need to know when it comes to bespoke wallpaper printing, including how to supply your artwork. Once you’ve configured your order, selecting the right materials and dimensions for your bespoke wallpaper, all you need to do is decide whether to supply your own artwork or recruit the help of our design team. To work with our designers, simply send us your design brief post-checkout and your assigned designer will get to work. To design your own wallpaper, we recommend working from our handy template, designed to ensure you’re working within the bounds of our artwork requirements.

How should I supply my artwork for small print wallpaper UK?

If you’ve been searching ‘print my own wallpaper’ but don’t know where to start when it comes to design, we’re here to help. We have a few artwork requirements which have been compiled to ensure we don’t have to bounce-back your submitted artwork. Firstly, you’ll need to ensure you supply your artwork at 25%, allowing 5mm of bleed around all of your artwork for cutting tolerances (20mm when 100%). You’ll also want to ensure you format your artwork to CMYK, set your resolution to a minimum of 300DPI (72DPI at 100%), and have your artwork ready to supply in PDF, JPG, Packaged AI, or EPS formats. Lastly, please ensure that all text, logos, and foreground images are kept with a 25mm margin from edge to edge (100mm when 100%). What size should I print my wallpaper?

It’s crucial that you supply the correct dimensions for your digitally printed wallpaper, so we encourage you to double (or even triple) check your measurements before placing your order. You will need to supply your dimensions in either metres or centimetres, ensuring the measurements are precise to the wall you will be applying your wallpaper to, or slightly larger. It’s always best to print your wallpaper slightly larger than needed, just incase the measurements are not precise. Please note, we will add 20mm around each edge to allow for easy fitting.

Will you fit my wallpaper digital print for me?

At Aura Print, we specilise in wallpaper printing services, not application. You will need to self-apply your wallpaper or recruit the help of a qualified decorator who will apply your bespoke wallpaper for you.

How do I apply my wallpaper?

Applying our printed wallpaper is the same as hanging conventional, store-bought wallpaper. You will need to prep the walls, measure and cut your paper if your dimensions were slightly larger than the wall you intend to apply it to, and apply with wallpaper paste. If you are not confident in applying your own wallpaper, we recommend employing the help of a professional decorator.

What happens if my wallpaper is too small?

If your wallpaper is smaller than the wall you intended to use it on, then the dimensions you originally supplied were incorrect. It is vitally important that the measurements provided are accurate, if not slightly larger than the wall you intend to paper. Afterall, it’s much easier to trim over-sized wallpaper than it is to re-print. If the wallpaper you have ordered is too small, please get in touch with our team and we will discuss possible solutions.

Which wallpaper texture should I choose?

The texture you choose depends on the wallpaper aesthetic you’re going for, therefore it’s impossible for us to advise. If you want to see (and feel) our wallpaper before placing your order, we recommend ordering a wallpaper sample pack.
