What file formats do you accept for poster printing?
We accept artwork PDF, JPG or fully packaged AI formats. But remember to ensure that your artwork is formatted in CMYK and at a minimum 72DPI (dots per inch) as this is the standard for print. We can colour match from RGB and Pantone, but there may be some subtle inconsistencies which would be the case with any print company.
My poster needs to be outside day and night, what are my options?
For posters that need to withstand harsh weather and to be visible at night, we have you covered. We do have a standard 170-micron plastic material that can easily stand up to rain and shine, but what if you need something that can illuminate from the rear? Our 220-micron backlit option is slightly transparent to allow light through illuminating your poster perfectly.
It’s my first time sending in poster artwork for print, what advice do you have?
So you’ve decided Aura Print is the answer to where can I print a poster, and we get it, if it’s your first time creating artwork and sending it off to print, it might seem a little daunting. Don’t worry! Not only do we have some excellent guides on how to set up artwork for print but we also have a design assistance team that can guide you or even be assigned to create the artwork based on your brief of ideas.
OK, I have some ideas, but I could do with a template to help, do you have one?
Sure! In fact, not only do we have one, we have many poster templates all in one handy file here. This will give you the exact measurements of the safe and bleed zones. These are templates of standard sizes but get in touch if you have your own measurements in mind.
What does split across multiple # of designs mean?
Here's where our online art printing gets special. We don't force you to order all your different designs of prints separately, artificially bumping up the price. With this option, you're able to choose the total amount of prints you'd like, and then select to divide that number by the amount of different designs you have. For example, if you order 10 posters and have a line of 5 poster designs, you can have 2 of each design, or any split you'd like, 8 of one, 2 of another, just let us know when you send in your artwork with an accompanying spreadsheet.
How long does it take to produce posters online?
First of all, you have to place your order and supply us with your files as we can't get started on anything until we have that. We'll usually get back to you within one working day after you've submitted your files with a digital proof. This is your opportunity to have a final check before going to print. Once you give the okay, the turnaround time will start, the length of which all depends on your print spec. When you configure your order, you’ll receive an estimated date. You'll get assigned an estimated dispatch date once we go to print which is our target day to dispatch your order by. Then it's just shipping which is usually the next working day.

Allow 5mm of bleed around all artwork for cutting tolerances.
Format all artwork to CMYK.
Set your resolution to a minimum of 72DPI.
Supply your artwork in PDF, JPG or fully packaged AI formats.
Keep all text, logos and foreground images within a 5mm safe zone from the cut edge.
