FAQS
What Size Is A Folded Business Card?
Our folded business card range is designed to make things easy, which is why each card folds to the standard business card size. This is 85mm x 55mm for rectangles, and 55mm x 55mm or 85mm x 85mm for squares. These cards are guaranteed to fit nicely within your client's wallets or within business card display cases.
What Are The Different Types Of Folds My Business Card Can Have?
We have 3 different types of fold for our folded business cards – half fold, zig-zag fold, and roll fold. The half fold has a crease line straight down the centre of your card, leaving one panel either side. The zig-zag folds left, right, left, opening to be a similar shape to a zig zag or letter Z. The roll fold, folds in on itself, from the right inwards, and is described as being similar to the letter C once opened.
What Thickness Of Paper Is Best For Folded Business Cards?
In the options above, we have narrowed down our best picks of paper weights for folded business cards. Our mid-weight paper stocks are great for folded business cards as they are thin enough to fold but thick enough to still give your cards that high-quality, premium feel. The more pages your folded business card has, the lower the GSM we would recommend choosing.
How to design a business card?
If you're needing to design your own business card, then we have a handy template that you can download and create your own artwork. If you're wondering how to make business cards in word, then take a look at our blog post which gives you a step by step guide to make business cards in word. If you're looking for an amazing business card, we also offer a design service for business cards, just order it alongside your print.
Should I Laminate My Folded Business Cards?
Laminating your folded business card is down to personal preference. Our laminates provide that luxury feel to your folded cards and help to protect the cards once they are folded. On the flip side, the laminate does increase the thickness of the paper, causing the cards to stay folded for a shorter length of time. There are occasions where our team will recommend a laminate, typically for designs with heavy coverage of print.
What Can I Use A Folded Business Card For?
The uses for folded business cards are practically endless. The additional space provides much more room to expand your designs into. We’ve found that some of the most popular uses of a folded business card are to display photos of your work, add a map to help customers find your business, or even to offer a discount for returning customers.
How Should I Supply My Artwork For Folded Business Cards?
Imagine what your card will look like unfolded. This flat spread is the best way to supply your artwork to our team. Our team will add in the crease lines in your digital proof to show where the card will fold. Remember, some of the fold types aren’t as simple as lining up identical pages next to each other. Check out our artwork templates for additional guidance for supplying your files.
