Test Our Sticker Material on your Product First
We recommend our stickers for a wide range of products and applications; however, due to the nature of different sticker materials, adhesive types, finishes, and environmental conditions, we cannot guarantee seamless application on every surface, shape, or material. Because of this, we recommend ordering a sample pack and testing our stickers on your intended surface before placing your order.
For foiled stickers, curved or uneven surfaces (such as jars or bottles), or products exposed to moisture, refrigeration, heat, or other extreme conditions, we strongly recommend ordering 5 sample copies of your stickers to test prior to committing to a full run, giving you complete peace of mind when placing your order.
We aim to produce and dispatch all orders as quickly and efficiently as possible. As every product is custom printed to order, turnaround times can vary depending on artwork approval, quantity, finishing options and the complexity of the project. More specialist products and finishes, including duplex, triplex, die cut and foiled items, will usually require additional production time due to the extra processes involved.

What Information Should I Include on a Candle Label?+
A candle label commonly combines brand and product information with any details needed for identification, traceability and safe use. Depending on the product, this might include your logo, candle or fragrance name, net quantity, batch reference, business details, directions and appropriate warning information. Keep the front label focused, then place longer safety or care copy on a separate base or rear label if that makes it easier to read. You are responsible for confirming which information your particular candle requires; we print the wording you approve. Do I Need a Separate Candle Warning Label?+
A separate warning label is often the clearest solution because it lets the front sticker concentrate on the brand and fragrance while safety information remains grouped together on the base or rear of the container. Whether a separate label is required, and the exact wording or symbols it must contain, depends on the candle, fragrance formulation, packaging, intended market and current rules. Where CLP or other safety labelling applies, obtain the approved copy from a competent source. We can design and print the information you supply, but we do not determine the product’s legal classification or certify that the wording is compliant.
Where Should I Place Labels on a Candle Container?+
Brand labels are usually placed on the front of the container, while warning, care and traceability information can sit on the base or rear. A lid sticker can also carry a logo, fragrance name or seal if the lid surface is suitable. Position every label where it stays visible and flat, and never allow it to cover a vent, manufacturer marking or anything needed for safe use. Keep stickers away from the wick, flame and areas exposed to excessive heat. Before production, make a paper mock-up at the finished size and check the complete candle from the customer’s normal viewing angle.
Which Adhesive Should I Choose for Candle Stickers?+
The best adhesive depends on the container surface, coating, curvature and whether the label should remain firmly in place or be easier to remove. Our standard-tack option can suit clean, smooth containers where straightforward application and peelability matter. High-tack adhesive creates a stronger bond and is often the better starting point for durable base warning labels or more challenging glass surfaces. Neither option can compensate for dust, grease, silicone or fragrance-oil residue. Clean and dry the container first, then test the chosen stock and adhesive on the actual production container before ordering the full run.
Will Candle Labels Stick to Frosted, Painted or Textured Glass?+
They may, but these finishes need testing because the label does not always make the same contact as it would on smooth, uncoated glass. Frosting, paint, powder coating, texture and release agents can all affect the adhesive bond, and some decorative coatings may be damaged when a strong label is removed. Apply a sample to a clean, dry container from the same production batch, press it down firmly and leave it long enough to judge the bond. Then check it through filling, storage and normal handling. We can help you compare adhesive options, but the real container test is the most reliable guide.
Can Candle Stickers Cope With Wax, Fragrance Oil and Handling?+
A well-chosen label can cope with normal retail handling, but no paper or film sticker should automatically be treated as wax-, oil-, solvent- or heat-proof. Melted wax and fragrance oils can mark the surface, soften some adhesives or work into an exposed edge. Lamination adds a protective film over the printed face and can make light cleaning easier, although the edges and adhesive still need care. Wipe spills promptly, avoid harsh cleaning products and keep every sticker away from the flame and high-heat zones. Test the complete label on a filled candle under the storage and handling conditions it will actually face.
Should I Choose Matt or Gloss Lamination for Candle Labels?+
Choose matt lamination for a softer, understated finish with reduced glare, or gloss lamination for a shinier surface that can make colours appear brighter. Both add a clear protective layer over the print, helping with scuffs, handling and occasional light splashes. The choice is mainly about the brand look and how customers will handle the candle. Lamination does not make a label fireproof, heatproof or suitable for unlimited contact with wax and fragrance oil, so placement and testing still matter. How Can I Keep Small Safety Text Readable?+
Start with the approved wording and choose a label size that gives it enough room rather than reducing the type until it only just fits. Use a clear typeface, strong contrast, sensible line spacing and short headings, and avoid placing essential text over a busy image or reflective detail. Check the design at its actual printed size, not only while enlarged on screen. Keep text, symbols and borders within the 3mm safe zone so normal print-and-cut movement does not crowd an edge. Can You Print Matching Labels for a Full Candle Scent Range?+
Yes. We can use one consistent label system across a range, then change details such as the fragrance name, colour, batch reference or product description for each version. A shared grid, type hierarchy and logo position help every scent look like part of the same collection, while a controlled colour or illustration change makes individual products easy to identify. Supply a clear list of variants and mark the approved wording for each one to reduce version errors. We will proof the artwork for approval before printing, so check every fragrance name, quantity, warning panel and other variable carefully.
Can You Design My Candle Stickers and Warning Labels?+
Yes. Our in-house design team can create the front branding label, supporting safety label or a coordinated set. Send us the container dimensions and photos, intended label positions, candle and fragrance names, logo, brand colours, required warning copy and any batch or traceability fields. Tell us which details must be most prominent and whether you prefer a matt, gloss or premium look. We will prepare a design and provide a proof for approval before printing. Should I Test Candle Labels Before Placing a Full Order?+
Yes, particularly when the container is frosted, painted, coated, textured, curved or exposed to fragrance oil. Apply a production-equivalent sample to a clean container and check it through filling, curing or storage, packing, transport and normal customer handling. Look for lifted edges, wrinkling, staining, colour changes and any reaction with the container coating. Also confirm that warning text remains readable and that the sticker is nowhere near the wick, flame or excessive heat during safe use. A representative test cannot predict every condition, but it is the best way to identify material, adhesive or placement issues before a full run.
What Artwork Files Should I Supply for Candle Sticker Printing?+
Supply your artwork as a PDF, JPG or fully packaged Adobe Illustrator file. Set colour artwork to CMYK and raster images to at least 300dpi at the final size. Include 2mm bleed beyond the cut edge and keep text, logos, warning symbols and other important elements within the 3mm safe zone. Review every scent name, batch field and piece of safety copy before approval, because we reproduce the content you provide. I was blown away by the lightning-fast proofing process, and then the incredibly quick printing. Both orders included custom foiling (which I could not find for a better price point anywhere, especially here in the US). We graphic designers know that human creativity is the core of what we do, which is why I was so appreciative that I was working with fellow humans through this process, and not through some AI. Further, the shipping process was spectacular. Whereas many US-based businesses were offering week-long SHIPPING times (excluding printing), Aura offers as its default UPS Express shipping for the US. As a result, their shipments have a 2-day transit time (for me, in a smaller city, but would be overnight for major metros), and are guaranteed by UPS. Having traversed the world of e-commerce shipping, nothing brings me greater relief than to see UPS as a shipping option. Additionally, and quite importantly for my fellow US designers, because my order consisted of what could reasonably be described as printed marketing materials, they should not be subject to tariffs. The shipping department at Aura made sure that the customs information was filled out correctly, leaving me with no duties to pay, for which I am eternally grateful. Awed by the quality of my save-the-dates, proceeding with the rest of my suite was a no-brainer, which included a main invite, detail card, and reply card. The turnaround time was similarly rapid, and the quality of the work simply unmatched. To all designers, but especially those in the US, do not let the idea of an international shipper stop you. Excellent help from the website enabled me to create the necessary files for uploading from scratch. I needed to clarify a couple of requirements (noob tech questions), but after the phone call with the excellently informative and patient customer support, all was clear. Shared the files via Google, digital proof the next day, invitations arrived a week later (standard turnaround). Excellent quality! The packaging was exceptional, so the 100 invitations were perfect on arrival N.B. a signed-for delivery allows you to inspect the package and sign for damage, if you see any. Very pleased indeed with the product and process, so I am more than happy to recommend Aura Print!
