If none of these fit the bill, though, you can enter your own custom size in millimetres when configuring your order, and our team will get to work. We offer a huge range of foil colours, including gold, silver, rose gold, copper, pink, violet, red, blue, teal, green, black chrome, holographic, and raised spot UV on applicable stocks. We often see foil used for names, dates, borders, monograms, venue illustrations, or small decorative details, but it usually looks best when it highlights the design rather than covering the whole invite.
Foil is only available on certain papers because the process needs the right surface to apply reliably. If foil is important to your invitation design, choose your paper stock with that in mind from the start.

We won’t send your invitations to print until you’re happy with the proof, either, so you’ll have a chance to review the design before we send it to print. Yes - we can add perforations to your invitations if you want part of the invite to tear away so it can be returned to you.
You can choose to add 1, 2, or even 3 horizontal or vertical perforations, or request custom perforations in different directions - whatever it takes to make your invitations work! We tend to see people adding perforations for RSVP slips, tear-off drinks tokens, entry stubs, reminders, or sections that guests might need to keep separate from the main invitation.
If you’re adding perforations, we recommend planning the design around them from the start. Important text, logos, and design elements should sit safely away from the perforation line so nothing important gets weakened, split, or lost when the section is torn away.
We can't really recommend a single stock as it depends so heavily on the type of event you’re hosting, the artwork you’re printing, and the finishing touches you hope to add.
We offer a huge choice of paper stocks for invitations, with weights ranging from 100gsm right through to 800gsm depending on the paper you choose. Smooth stocks like silk or gloss are great for colour reproduction and sharper detail, while uncoated and some of our more specialist stocks are better if you want something softer, more understated, or more traditional. If you’re adding foil or laminate, please bear in mind that not every stock is compatible, especially heavily textured papers.
