Large signs require special handling during transit to ensure they arrive in excellent condition. To reduce the risk of damage and provide a safer delivery experience, signs larger than 1220mm may be supplied in multiple panels.
Our production team will position the panel joins to minimise their visual impact wherever possible. Splitting larger signs also makes them easier to transport, handle and install while helping maintain the highest product quality on arrival.

Our corrugated sign option is 4mm thick. This gives the board useful rigidity while keeping it light enough for temporary displays, event signs and portable promotions. The internal flutes have a direction, so tell us how the panel will be mounted if you need holes, ties or another fixing arrangement to work with a particular orientation.
Corrugated signs can often be fixed with cable ties, suitable double-sided tape or screws and washers, depending on the surface and conditions. We can add drilled holes when they are specified in the order and artwork. Use fixings appropriate to the wall, fence, post or frame, spread the load so the board does not tear, and avoid placing a lightweight panel where wind could make it unsafe. We do not supply one universal fitting kit because every installation is different.

We print with UV-resistant, weatherproof inks, and gloss lamination is generally the better choice for outdoor panels because it adds face protection and helps colours remain vibrant. Temporary corrugated signs can work outdoors for shorter campaigns; more exposed or long-term installations need a more durable product. Outdoor suitability always depends on wind, sunlight, moisture, temperature, location and maintenance.

An A1 sign measures 594 × 841mm in portrait orientation, or 841 × 594mm in landscape. It is a large, high-visibility format suited to welcome signs, shop promotions, conference information, event directions and display boards that need to be noticed from farther away. Design at the final orientation and judge all text at actual size, because an A1 panel still needs a clear hierarchy rather than simply enlarging a crowded smaller design.
An A2 sign measures 420 × 594mm in portrait orientation, or 594 × 420mm in landscape. Yes. Alongside standard A sizes, the sign calculator includes custom panel dimensions so the finished board can fit a particular wall, frame, counter or display area. Measure the available space carefully and state the finished width and height, not the artwork size including bleed. Very large panels may have material, transport or finishing limits, so contact us before designing if both dimensions are unusually large.
Yes. You can supply a set of different sign designs for one campaign, venue or event. Name every file clearly and provide a schedule showing the finished size, material, orientation, finish and quantity for each version. Designs with different specifications may need to be priced as separate items, but we can still coordinate the proofing and production so colours, logos and layout remain consistent across the set.
Yes, drilled holes are available for suitable sign materials. Show every hole with a 1pt magenta circle on a separate artwork layer or page and confirm the diameter and distance from the edges. Keep holes clear of logos, small text and important graphics, and allow enough material around each fixing point to spread the load. We can drill the panel, but you remain responsible for choosing safe fixings and a suitable mounting surface.
Possibly. You will need the landowner's permission, and some outdoor, illuminated, roadside, business or event signs may also require advertisement consent, planning approval, a permit or agreement from the venue or local authority. Rules depend on the sign's size, height, location, content and duration. Check the current requirements with the relevant council, site operator or event organiser before ordering or installing; we print the sign but cannot approve its legal placement.
Start with one clear purpose and make the most important message the largest element. Use a short headline, bold legible type, strong contrast and enough empty space around text, prices, arrows and contact details. Avoid long paragraphs and thin lettering, then test the design at the expected viewing distance and angle. For directional signs, use consistent arrows and place the instruction before the point where the viewer must decide.
Not exactly. Screens emit RGB light, while printed signs reproduce colour with CMYK inks on a physical surface, so brightness and some saturated colours will change. Material, laminate and lighting also affect the result. Set the artwork to CMYK, avoid judging critical colours from a phone alone and request a representative test where colour is essential. Supply raster artwork at a minimum of 72dpi at the final printed size. Resolution must be judged together with scale: a small 72dpi image enlarged to A1 will not contain the same detail as a file already prepared at A1. Logos and text are best supplied as vectors where possible, and photographs should be checked at the intended viewing distance. Supply a PDF, JPG or fully packaged Adobe Illustrator file in CMYK at the final size or at a clearly stated scale. Add 2mm bleed, use at least 72dpi for raster artwork at final size and keep text, logos and important foreground images within the 50mm safe zone shown in the sign requirements. Send us the exact wording, logo files, brand colours, finished dimensions, orientation, photographs or illustrations, preferred style and where the sign will be viewed. Yes. We send a digital proof for approval before production. Check every word, price, date, arrow, contact detail, finished size, orientation, version and hole position; also confirm that the correct artwork belongs to each quantity. The proof shows content and layout, but your screen cannot reproduce the exact printed colour, laminate reflection or physical scale. We do not start printing until the proof has been approved.
The current calculator shows an estimated production time for the material, size, quantity and finishing options you select. Production begins after the proof is approved, and the estimate does not include the time spent preparing or amending artwork or the courier journey. Large, multi-version or specially finished orders may take longer. If you have a fixed event or opening date, tell us before ordering and allow time for proofing, production, delivery and installation.
Remove loose dirt first, then wipe the face gently with clean water, mild soap and a soft non-abrasive cloth. Avoid solvents, scouring pads, stiff brushes and pressure washing, which can damage the print, laminate or edges. Check holes, fixings, corners and mounting surfaces regularly, particularly after strong wind or impact. Take down a temporary sign when the campaign ends or if the panel or installation becomes damaged.
