What is a belly band for invitations?
An invitation belly band is typically a strip of card or paper that wraps around your invitation and other wedding stationery. For example if you have a wedding invitation along with an RSVP card and another card for wedding details. You can wrap a printed belly band around all three to give a nice presentation.
Do you need a belly band for wedding invitations?
Depending on what type of wedding stationery you have, you may not need a belly band, especially if you have only one invitation to send. However if you have multiple parts to your weding invitation, then wrapping them up with a custom belly band, perhaps with your intitials on gives a realy finishing touch.
How to assemble wedding invitaitons with belly bands?
Assembling your wedding invitation belly bands is really easy. Simply place all of your wedding stationery in the order you'd like your guests to read them and wrap the belly band around the waist of your stationery. Fasten it to the back and make sure it's centered!
How do belly bands seal and fasten?
We offer a few ways of sealing and fastening your belly bands. We can either leave it up to you, where you can use glue dots, tape, or whatever you need. Or, we also offer the option for us to apply double sided tape to one end of your belly bands, this means all you need to do is peel off the backing of the tape and seal the ends together when they're wrapped around your stationery. If you really want to give your belly bands a finishing touch then you can print custom stickers with your initials on to fasten your bands.
How long does belly band printing take?

Artwork Requirements
The Basics
Allow 2mm of bleed around all artwork for cutting tolerances.
Format all artwork to CMYK.
Set your resolution to a minimum of 300DPI.
Supply your artwork in PDF, JPG or fully packaged AI formats.
Keep all text, logos and foreground images within a 3mm safe zone from the cut edge.
Metallic Foil & Spot UV Products
Separate all foil elements from CMYK artwork, place foil elements on a separate page, and supply as 100% K (black). See our helpful guide about how to supply artwork for foil printing.
Die Cut Or Kiss Cut (Shaped) Products Including Stickers
Indicate cut lines using a 1pt magenta line on a separate layer or separate page. See our helpful guide about how to supply artwork for die/kiss cutting.
Folded, Perforated or Drilled Products
Indicate any crease lines, perforation lines or drill holes using a 1pt magenta line on a separate layer or separate page.
Spot Colours
Supply your artwork as CMYK + 1 Spot Colour. See our helpful guide about how to supply artwork for spot colour printing.
Name your spot colour layer with the colour you've chosen, for example 'gold' or 'silver'.
