What Shape Can My Foiled Die Cut Business Card Be?
With die cut business cards, the shape is completely up to you. Whether you’re wanting a flower outline or a simple curve, we can create almost any shape you can possibly think of!
How Do I Supply My Artwork?
With our foiled die cut business cards we need your artwork to be split into foil, print, and shape. Foil artwork should be 100% black on a white background, with any print removed. Print files should not contain anything that is to be foiled. The shape file should show the shape you would be liking your business cards to be as a 1pt stroke. Our team are here to answer any questions about artwork if you have any.
Does My Foiled Die Cut Business Card Need To Be Laminated?
Where there is foil, there must be a laminate, it’s simply part of the foiling process. For single sided foil designs, we’ve given you the option to choose whether you want a laminate on the reverse. For double sided foil designs, there needs to be a laminate on both sides.
Can I Have More Than One Foil Colour On My Foiled Die Cut Business Cards?
Yes and no, this depends on where you’re wanting each foil colour. If you want one side of your card to be gold foil and the other side to be silver, then that’s absolutely fine. But if you want two different foil colours on the same side, this is not something we are able to do.
Can I Have Different Designs For My Foiled Die Cut Business Cards?
We’ve provided the option above to split your order across multiple different designs. So, if you’re wanting each of your employees to have their own personalised card or wanting each card to be a different colour, you’re able to do so. Please be aware that each design must be the same shape. Different shaped die cut business cards need to be ordered separately.
What Is The Best Paper Stock For Foiled Die Cut Business Cards?

Artwork Requirements
The Basics
Allow 2mm of bleed around all artwork for cutting tolerances.
Format all artwork to CMYK.
Set your resolution to a minimum of 300DPI.
Supply your artwork in PDF, JPG or fully packaged AI formats.
Keep all text, logos and foreground images within a 3mm safe zone from the cut edge.
Metallic Foil & Spot UV Products
Separate all foil elements from CMYK artwork, place foil elements on a separate page, and supply as 100% K (black). See our helpful guide about how to supply artwork for foil printing.
Die Cut Or Kiss Cut (Shaped) Products Including Stickers
Indicate cut lines using a 1pt magenta line on a separate layer or separate page. See our helpful guide about how to supply artwork for die/kiss cutting.
Folded, Perforated or Drilled Products
Indicate any crease lines, perforation lines or drill holes using a 1pt magenta line on a separate layer or separate page.
Spot Colours
Supply your artwork as CMYK + 1 Spot Colour. See our helpful guide about how to supply artwork for spot colour printing.
Name your spot colour layer with the colour you've chosen, for example 'gold' or 'silver'.
