Ordered some custom Catan development cards as a g... Ordered some custom Catan development cards as a gift. Absolutely excellent! The back colour was a little off compared to the actual cards but that was somewhat inevitable. Quick turnaround and good proofing process.

What Are Printed Hoarding Panels?
Printed hoarding panels are branded display boards fitted to the outside of an existing construction-site or development hoarding. They turn a plain perimeter into a coordinated surface for project information, developer branding, architectural visuals, wayfinding and advertising. We print the graphic panels; the underlying hoarding, posts, foundations, gates and structural design must already be suitable for the location and the additional cladding.
Do Printed Hoarding Panels Provide Site Security or Structural Protection?
No. The printed panels are decorative and informational cladding, not the structural security barrier. They must be fixed to a hoarding system designed, installed and maintained by competent site professionals. The principal contractor or installer remains responsible for wind loading, foundations, fire and site requirements, public safety, access control and the suitability of every fixing. Printed graphics must never cover essential safety notices, inspection points or required openings.
How Do I Measure a Site Hoarding and Calculate the Number of Panels?
Survey each uninterrupted run and record its finished width and height, then note corners, level changes, gates, doors, viewing windows, columns and other obstructions. Decide the installed panel width with your contractor and divide each run accordingly, allowing for the planned joint or gap between boards. Give every panel a unique reference in an elevation or schedule so the artwork, quantity, packing order and installation position can all be checked against the same plan.
Can One Hoarding Design Run Continuously Across Several Panels?
Yes. We can divide a continuous development image, campaign or brand treatment across a sequence of panels. Supply a scaled master elevation and a numbered panel schedule, or ask our design team to create them from your measurements and brief. Keep in mind that physical boards are installed separately: small shifts and gaps are normal, so do not rely on hairline alignment or place critical details exactly across a join.
How Should I Plan Artwork Around Panel Joins, Gates and Corners?
Keep small text, faces, QR codes, logos and fine architectural details away from joins and edges. Use background images, colour fields or larger graphic elements where the eye can tolerate a small interruption. Treat gates, doors and changes of direction as separate elevation sections, and allow for hinges, locks, handles and sight lines. Clearly mark the reading order and whether a corner should continue visually or begin a new design.
What Should I Include on Construction Hoarding Artwork?
Useful content can include the development name, developer and contractor branding, architectural visuals, project description, contact details, website or QR code, sales information and clear pedestrian or visitor directions. Keep the design readable at the expected viewing distance and separate promotional graphics from mandatory safety signage. You are responsible for the accuracy and approval of plans, claims, logos, dates, renderings and regulatory wording supplied for print.
Can Your Design Team Create a Complete Hoarding Layout?
Yes. Our in-house designers can turn your site measurements, panel schedule, brand assets, CGI images and approved copy into a coordinated hoarding scheme. Send a marked elevation showing every run, gate, corner and obstruction, plus the required viewing direction and installation sequence. Provide the highest-quality logo and rendering files available. Our guide to writing a design brief will help you organise the project information.
Are Printed Hoarding Panels Suitable for Outdoor Construction Sites?
They can be when the panel material, laminate and installation are selected for the site conditions. Exposure varies greatly between a sheltered city frontage and an open, coastal or high-wind site, so consider sunlight, rain, salt, dust, impact, project duration and cleaning. The contractor must confirm that the underlying hoarding and fixings can safely support the chosen panels. Inspect the full perimeter regularly and replace loose or damaged boards promptly.
Which Laminate Is Best for Printed Hoarding Panels?
Gloss laminate is generally the practical choice for outdoor hoarding because it adds face protection and gives colours a brighter finish. Matt laminate reduces reflections and may suit a design viewed under strong lighting, but its suitability still depends on the selected panel and exposure. Lamination does not make a panel impact-proof, fire-rated or immune to graffiti and harsh chemicals. Our lamination guide explains what the finish can and cannot do.
How Are Printed Hoarding Panels Installed?
Installation should be planned and carried out by a competent contractor using fixings compatible with the printed panel and the structural hoarding. The installer must determine fixing type, spacing, edge distances, support, expansion allowance and wind-load requirements for the site. Share the proposed method before artwork is finalised so holes and critical graphics do not conflict. We supply printed panels, not a universal fixing kit or approval of the supporting structure.
Do I Need Permission to Display Branded Site Hoardings?
Possibly. You need the site owner's permission, and branded or advertising hoardings may require express advertisement consent, planning approval, listed-building consent, a highway agreement or conditions imposed by the local authority or development consent. Requirements depend on the location, size, content and duration. Check with the relevant council and project team before printing or installation; the official GOV.UK guidance on advertisements explains the consent framework in England.
How Should I Clean, Inspect and Replace Hoarding Panels?
Remove loose site dust first, then clean the printed face with water, mild soap and a soft non-abrasive cloth. Avoid solvents, scouring tools and pressure washing. The site team should check panels, edges and fixings routinely and after severe weather or impact. Individual damaged panels can be reordered from a clearly numbered schedule, although slight colour differences may occur between production batches or between a new panel and neighbouring graphics that have weathered outdoors.
How Do I Prepare Artwork for Hoarding Panel Printing?
Supply a scaled master elevation plus separate, clearly numbered panel files in PDF, JPG or fully packaged Adobe Illustrator format. Use CMYK, add 2mm bleed to every panel, prepare raster artwork at a minimum of 72dpi at the final printed size and keep text, logos and important images within the stated 50mm safe zone. Our guides explain printing bleed, DPI and how to check artwork for print.
Will I Receive Proofs, and How Long Does Hoarding Panel Printing Take?
Yes. We provide digital proofs before production. For a multi-panel run, check the overall elevation as well as every numbered board, including spelling, scale, sequence, orientation, quantities, joins and gate positions. Printing begins only after approval. The live calculator shows the current production estimate from proof approval; artwork preparation, amendments, packing, courier transit and site installation are additional, so build these stages into the construction programme.
