Production Turnaround

We aim to produce and dispatch all orders as quickly and efficiently as possible. As every product is custom printed to order, turnaround times can vary depending on artwork approval, quantity, finishing options and the complexity of the project. More specialist products and finishes, including duplex, triplex, die cut and foiled items, will usually require additional production time due to the extra processes involved.

As you configure your product, the online calculator updates in real time to show an estimated turnaround based on your chosen options. Once you approve your proof, our team will email you a dispatch estimate for your specific order. This estimate covers the production time from proof approval to dispatch and does not include courier delivery time.

Rush Production

If you’re working towards a tight deadline, we also offer a Rush Service at checkout which means you can reduce the production turnaround by 1 business day on eligible products.

Quality Checks and Dispatch

Although we are based in the UK, our courier partners provide fast, tracked delivery across Canada. Orders are carefully printed, finished, quality checked and prepared for dispatch before being sent across the Atlantic.

Canadian shipping is charged from CA$24.95. Delivery to major urban areas in southern Canada typically takes 1–2 business days after dispatch, while deliveries to rural, remote, northern and territorial locations may take an estimated 2–3 business days or longer, depending on location and courier coverage.

Delivery Options and Returns

What Makes Your Greeting Cards Eco-Friendly?

Our eco-friendly greeting cards are produced using a carefully selected range of environmentally conscious paper stocks and responsible printing processes. We offer a variety of premium materials, including recycled uncoated, Kraft, Cotton, Rag, Wheat, and Cannabis papers, allowing you to choose a stock that suits both your artwork and your sustainability goals.

Each paper has its own distinctive appearance and texture. Recycled uncoated papers provide a clean, natural finish, Kraft offers a warm rustic look, while Cotton and Rag create a soft, premium feel. Wheat and Cannabis papers contain alternative plant fibres that add subtle character and texture, making every greeting card unique.

Alongside our paper selection, we print using vegan toners and energy-efficient digital presses to help reduce the environmental impact of production. Whether you’re creating artist greeting cards, retail stationery, corporate greetings, or personal designs, our eco-friendly range makes it easy to produce beautiful greeting cards without compromising on quality or presentation.

Which Eco Paper Stocks Can I Choose for Greeting Cards?

Our eco-friendly greeting cards are available on a range of sustainable paper stocks, including Recycled Uncoated, Kraft, Cotton, Rag, Wheat, and Cannabis papers. Each stock offers its own unique appearance, texture, and character, making it easy to find the right material for your artwork and the impression you want to create.

Recycled Uncoated is the brightest option in our eco range and is well suited to designs that require clean print and accurate colour reproduction. Kraft has a natural brown appearance that’s ideal for rustic and minimalist designs. Cotton provides a soft, luxurious finish, while Rag features a more textured, premium surface. Wheat paper has a warm cream tone with subtle flecks of agricultural fibres, and Cannabis paper offers a lightly textured oyster-coloured finish with visible natural fibres throughout the sheet.

If you’d like to compare a wider range of materials before placing your order, our guide to different types of printing paper explains how various paper stocks influence print quality, texture, colour reproduction, and the overall appearance of your greeting cards.

Which Eco Greeting Card Stock Gives the Most Accurate Colours?

If achieving accurate colour reproduction is your priority, Recycled Uncoated paper is generally the best choice within our eco-friendly range. Its bright white surface provides a more neutral base for printing, helping colours appear cleaner and closer to your original artwork than naturally toned papers such as Kraft, Wheat, or Cannabis.

While Recycled Uncoated paper retains subtle recycled fibres that give it an authentic, environmentally conscious character, these have very little impact on the overall appearance of your printed design. In contrast, papers with brown, cream, or textured finishes naturally influence the way colours are reproduced, creating a softer, more organic look.

If your artwork includes brand colours, photography, or detailed illustrations where colour accuracy is important, Recycled Uncoated is usually the most suitable eco-friendly option. If you’re aiming for a warmer, handcrafted aesthetic, stocks such as Kraft, Cotton, Rag, Wheat, or Cannabis can add distinctive texture and character to your greeting cards.

If you’d like to understand why printed colours can differ from what you see on screen, our guide to print vs screen colours explains how paper choice, colour space, and the printing process all influence the finished result.

Can Eco Greeting Cards Be Recycled?

Many eco-friendly greeting cards can be recycled, particularly those printed on uncoated or recycled paper stocks without additional decorative finishes. Choosing simpler materials can make recycling more straightforward once the card has reached the end of its life.

Some embellishments, such as metallic foils, glitter, plastic attachments, laminates, or other mixed materials, may affect how a greeting card should be disposed of. Recycling capabilities vary between municipalities, so it’s always a good idea to check your local Canada recycling guidelines before placing cards in your recycling bin.

If reducing environmental impact is important to your project, selecting an eco-friendly paper stock and limiting additional finishes can help support a more sustainable approach. Our range of recycled and alternative fibre papers offers a variety of premium options for artists, businesses, charities, and retailers looking to create greeting cards with environmental considerations in mind.

Can I Add Foil to Eco Greeting Cards?

Yes, but only on our Recycled Uncoated eco paper. Metallic foil requires a smooth, laminated surface to achieve a crisp, consistent finish, making Recycled Uncoated the only eco-friendly stock in our range that’s compatible with digital foiling.

Natural papers such as Kraft, Cotton, Rag, Wheat, and Cannabis have textured surfaces and visible fibres that don’t laminate consistently. Applying foil to these materials can result in an uneven finish, so we don’t offer foil on these stocks to ensure every order meets our quality standards.

If you’d like to combine a more environmentally conscious paper with the impact of metallic foil, Recycled Uncoated is the ideal choice. If you prefer the natural character and tactile feel of our textured eco papers, we recommend letting the paper itself become the standout feature of your design. To learn more about our approach, take a look at our guide to foiling responsibly.

Why Do Colours Look Different on Eco Paper Stocks?

Eco-friendly paper stocks each have their own natural colour, texture, and fibre content, all of which can influence how your artwork appears once printed. Unlike bright white coated papers, many eco papers have warmer tones or visible fibres that become part of the finished design, giving your greeting cards a more natural and distinctive appearance.

For example, Kraft paper has a brown base that creates a rustic look and naturally affects the way colours are reproduced. Wheat and Cannabis papers have warm, lightly textured surfaces with visible agricultural fibres, while Cotton and Rag papers provide a softer, more tactile finish that can produce a gentler printed appearance. If achieving the most accurate colour reproduction is important, Recycled Uncoated is usually the best choice within our eco-friendly range because of its bright white surface.

If you’re designing for coloured or textured papers, it’s worth remembering that the paper itself becomes part of the finished artwork. Our guide to digital printing on coloured paper explains how different paper colours and textures influence the final printed result and how to prepare your artwork accordingly.

Which Eco Stock Is Best for Rustic or Handmade Style Greeting Cards?

If you’re looking to create greeting cards with a natural, handcrafted appearance, several of our eco-friendly paper stocks are excellent choices. The best option depends on the style you’re trying to achieve and how much you want the paper itself to become part of the finished design.

Kraft paper is ideal for rustic, vintage, and minimalist greeting cards thanks to its distinctive brown surface. Cotton and Rag papers offer a soft, tactile finish that’s well suited to wedding stationery, artist collections, and premium greeting cards. For something a little different, Wheat and Cannabis papers contain visible agricultural fibres that add warmth, texture, and natural character without overpowering your artwork.

If you prefer a brighter, cleaner appearance while still choosing a more environmentally conscious option, Recycled Uncoated paper is an excellent alternative. If your goal is to highlight the texture and personality of the material itself, one of our specialty eco papers will create a more distinctive finished greeting card. To learn more about one of our most popular natural stocks, read our guide to how Kraft paper is made.

Are Eco Greeting Cards Good for Sustainable Brands?

Yes. Eco-friendly greeting cards are an excellent choice for businesses and creators who want their printed products to reflect their environmental values. Whether you’re an independent artist, a stationery brand, a charity, or a business with a sustainability focus, choosing environmentally conscious paper stocks can help reinforce your brand while maintaining a premium look and feel.

The paper you choose also becomes part of your story. Recycled Uncoated paper offers a clean, contemporary appearance, Kraft creates a rustic, handcrafted feel, while Cotton, Rag, Wheat, and Cannabis papers provide distinctive textures and natural fibres that add character to every greeting card. These materials can help communicate quality, authenticity, and thoughtful material selection before your customer even opens the card.

If you’re building an eco-friendly greeting card collection, our guide to turning your art into greeting cards provides practical advice on preparing your artwork, selecting the right paper, and creating greeting cards that are ready to sell.

Can I Explain My Eco Paper Choice Inside the Card?

Absolutely. Adding a short note about your paper choice inside or on the back of your greeting card is a simple way to tell customers more about the materials you’ve selected. If you’ve chosen Recycled Uncoated, Kraft, Cotton, Rag, Wheat, or Cannabis paper, a brief message can help explain the unique appearance and texture of the card while reinforcing your commitment to more environmentally conscious printing.

You don’t need to include lots of detail. A simple statement such as “Printed on recycled paper” or “Printed on wheat paper containing natural agricultural fibres” is often enough to give customers additional context and help them appreciate why the card looks and feels different from a standard coated stock.

This approach is particularly popular with artists, charities, independent retailers, and businesses where material choice forms part of the overall brand story. If you’re creating your own artwork, our guide to explaining our folded print layouts shows how to set up the inside panels correctly before sending your files to print.

Which Eco Greeting Card Size Should I Choose?

The best size for your eco-friendly greeting cards depends on your artwork, message, and how the finished cards will be used. Choosing a format that’s well suited to your design helps create a more balanced, professional-looking greeting card without using more material than necessary.

Smaller formats, such as 5.5×4.25 in and 6×4 in, are ideal for thank-you cards, everyday greetings, and minimalist designs. Larger sizes, including 7×5 in and 8.5×5.5 in, provide additional space for detailed illustrations, photography, longer messages, or premium retail greeting cards where the artwork is the main focus.

Rather than choosing the largest available size, we recommend selecting the format that best complements your design. A greeting card that’s appropriately sized for its content often creates a stronger visual impact while making the most of the paper you’ve chosen. If you’re unsure which size will work best, our team is always happy to help you select the right option for your project.

How Should I Design Eco Greeting Cards to Make the Most of the Paper?

Eco-friendly greeting cards often look their best when the paper is allowed to become part of the overall design. Many of our sustainable paper stocks, including Kraft, Cotton, Rag, Wheat, and Cannabis, feature natural colours, visible fibres, or distinctive textures that add character without relying on heavy graphics or large areas of ink.

Simple layouts, clean typography, botanical illustrations, line art, and generous white space are all excellent choices for these papers, allowing their natural appearance to enhance the finished greeting card. If your design includes vibrant colours, detailed photography, or large areas of solid colour, Recycled Uncoated is usually the most suitable eco-friendly option thanks to its bright white surface and excellent print reproduction.

If you’re preparing your own artwork, our guide to how to check your artwork for print explains the key steps to help ensure your files are ready for professional printing.
