What size should my tuck box be?

The size of your playing card tuck box will depend on the number of cards and the paper weight used. Our slim playing card box holds 54 cards on a 14pt (300gsm) paper with a laminate both sides and a tall playing card box holds 78 cards on a 14pt (300gsm) with a laminate both sides. How many colours of metallic foil can I have?

With our foil playing card boxes you can have only one shade of metallic foil. This can be combined with any paper type and also color print.

Can the inside of the box be foiled?

While it is possible to print on the inside of the playing card boxes, it is not something that we would recommend. As the cards will be taken in and out of the box the print to the inside has the potential to wear and transfer onto the cards over time.

How do I supply my artwork?

It's always best to follow the artwork guidelines that are set out to the right of this FAQ section. PDF is always the best format as it means everything is packaged nicely ready for print. When it comes to foil printing, we'd need everything you want in foil to be split out from any CMYK print on it's own page and in 100% black.

Can my boxes be printed with only foil?

Yes, you can print in foil only or foil + CMYK print. This is ideal for if you want black and gold playing cards with matching boxes. You can print on fully black paper stock with gold foil as all the detail. Since print is transparent, no CMYK print would show up on black paper stock anyway, so we'd only ever offer it with a foil only option.

Do the boxes come with playing cards included?

No, the cards for your deck are ordered as a separate item. We do have a choice though of print only custom playing cards, or you can print foiled playing cards that match your boxes.

Artwork Requirements

The Basics

Allow 0.08" (2mm) of bleed around all artwork for cutting tolerances.

Format all artwork to CMYK.

Set your resolution to a minimum of 300DPI.

Supply your artwork in PDF, JPG or fully packaged AI formats.

Keep all text, logos and foreground images within a 0.1" (3mm) safe zone from the cut edge.

Separate all foil elements from CMYK artwork, place foil elements on a separate page, and supply as 100% K (black). See our helpful guide about how to supply artwork for foil printing.

Die Cut Or Kiss Cut (Shaped) Products Including Stickers
