As every product is custom printed to order, turnaround times can vary depending on artwork approval, quantity, finishing options and the complexity of the project. More specialist products and finishes, including duplex, triplex, die cut and foiled items, will usually require additional production time due to the extra processes involved.
As you configure your product, the online calculator updates in real time to show an estimated turnaround based on your chosen options. Once you approve your proof, our team will email you a dispatch estimate for your specific order. This estimate covers the production time from proof approval to dispatch and does not include courier delivery time.

If you’re working towards a tight deadline, we also offer a Rush Service at checkout which means you can reduce the production turnaround by 1 business day on eligible products.
Quality Checks and Dispatch
Although we are based in the UK, our courier partners provide fast, tracked delivery across the United States. Orders are carefully printed, finished, quality checked and prepared for dispatch before being sent across the Atlantic.
US shipping starts from $12.95. Our standard delivery service typically takes 5–7 working days after dispatch, while a faster 1–3 working day service is available for $19.95. Delivery to Eastern states typically takes 1–2 business days after dispatch, while customers in Central, Mountain, and Pacific states take an estimated 2–3 business days, depending on location.

Should I Add Laminate to My Bookmarks?+
That’s entirely up to you, though we generally recommend it for bookmarks that will be handled often.
Our laminated bookmarks have a protective coating applied over the print, helping them stand up better to regular use than unlaminated bookmarks. Gloss laminate gives bookmarks a shinier finish and helps colors look brighter, while matte laminate creates a smoother, lower-shine result. If your bookmark includes foil, we’ll apply soft-touch laminate as part of the process because it helps the foil apply cleanly.
Lamination is a good choice if your bookmarks will be sold in stores, added to book boxes, used as school bookmarks, included with promotional packs, or handled regularly at events.

Can You Print and Design My Bookmarks?+
We can absolutely print your bookmarks from finished artwork, or our in-house design team can create the design for you.
You can choose your bookmark size, paper stock, print options, and finishes using the product options on the page. If you already have artwork ready, send it over after checkout. If you need us to design your bookmarks, select our design service and send us a clear brief with your ideas, wording, images, colors, and any references you like.
We’ll send you a proof to check before production starts, so you’ll get to review the design before anything goes to print.
At Aura Print, we recommend choosing strong, weighty paper stocks that are suitable for regular handling and everyday use.
Popular options include silk, gloss, uncoated, and recycled stocks. Silk is a good all-rounder if you want clean print and strong color, gloss is useful when you want a brighter finish, and uncoated has a more natural feel. If you’re looking for a more eco-conscious paper option, recycled paper can work really well.
The best paper depends on how your bookmark will be used. Personalized funeral bookmarks often suit softer, more understated stocks, while promotional, school, or retail bookmarks may need something more durable or color-rich.
Once you’ve placed your order, reply to your confirmation email with your finished artwork attached, or send us a download link if the files are too large.
Your artwork should be set up at the correct bookmark size, with bleed included and important text kept away from the trim edges. This is especially important if your design has borders, fine details, QR codes, hole drilling, foil areas, or photos.
If you’re ordering personalized photo bookmarks, try to use high-resolution images rather than screenshots or compressed social media photos. The better the image quality, the better the finished bookmark is likely to look. Can You Add a Hole to My Bookmarks?+
We can add a drilled hole to your bookmarks during production.
Our standard drilled hole is 5mm, and you can select this option when configuring your order. If your artwork shows where the hole should go, we’ll follow that position where possible. If no specific position is supplied, we’ll usually place the hole neatly at the top center.
A drilled hole is useful if you want to add ribbon, tassels, string, or attach the bookmark to packaging. Just make sure important artwork, text, or logos are kept away from the hole area so nothing important gets cut through.
Can You Print Double-Sided Bookmarks?+
At Aura Print, we can print single or double-sided bookmarks, though double-sided is the go-to for most author and artist orders.
Many authors and artists choose double-sided printing so the artwork appears on both sides of the bookmark, which is what people tend to expect when buying a bookmark. This is a great option if the bookmark is being sold as a product, included with a book order, or used as author merch, because it means the design still looks complete whichever way round it’s placed in a book.
You can print the same artwork on both sides, like a full illustrated pattern or character design, or use a different reverse if you want to add an author name, book title, website, QR code, quote, or short message. Both approaches work - it just depends on whether you want the bookmark to feel more like an art piece or include extra information.
Because bookmarks are narrow, we’d still recommend keeping any text simple and easy to read. If the artwork is the main focus, let it breathe rather than trying to squeeze too much onto the reverse.

Aura Print can create metallic foil bookmarks on suitable paper stocks.
Foil works really well on bookmarks because even a small detail can make the finished piece feel more collectible. It’s a strong option for author merchandise, bookstore gifts, luxury stationery, wedding favors, Bookstagram merch, and branded promotional bookmarks.
We recommend using foil for selected details such as titles, logos, borders, icons, or short lines of text. If you’re adding foil, we’ll include soft-touch laminate as part of the process to help protect the finish and make sure the foil applies properly.

I started a small business and wanted to get some...I started a small business and wanted to get some custom business cards made. I didn't want to go with the average run of the mill business cards, so I requested some free samples to see what my options were. I learned about card thickness, soft touch vs velvet touch, foil printing, QR codes. I then used AI to make a graphic of my business card and sent it out to get quotes. I dont know about graphic programs and what it takes to make a business card, so when they wanted me to make overlays of what i wanted foil printed, I had no Idea how to do that. But Alex, from Aura Print, said they had a great in house design team that could handle it for a small fee. So i had them take my business card, do what they needed to do to it so they could print it. Alex kept me up to date with the progress, sent me graphics to approve, and then it was off to print. I was a bit worried about shipping to the USA from the UK, but it arrived with in a few days from shipping.
Im very happy with my business card, it looks and feels amazing. I would highly recommend Aura Print to make business cards. When I need more, I will defiantly re-order from Aura Print!!

Before you print, be sure to read their very detailed page that shows and lists the differences between paper and finish types. I went with recycled paper, and the colors of my print are less vibrant than the design file—just like they said it would be!

I custom designed an invitation suite for a retirement party, and first worked with Aura on my save-the-dates before doing a larger order. I was blown away by the lightning-fast proofing process, and then the incredibly quick printing. Both orders included custom foiling (which I could not find for a better price point anywhere, especially here in the US). We graphic designers know that human creativity is the core of what we do, which is why I was so appreciative that I was working with fellow humans through this process, and not through some AI. Further, the shipping process was spectacular. Whereas many US-based businesses were offering week-long SHIPPING times (excluding printing), Aura offers as its default UPS Express shipping for the US. As a result, their shipments have a 2-day transit time (for me, in a smaller city, but would be overnight for major metros), and are guaranteed by UPS. Having traversed the world of e-commerce shipping, nothing brings me greater relief than to see UPS as a shipping option. Additionally, and quite importantly for my fellow US designers, because my order consisted of what could reasonably be described as printed marketing materials, they should not be subject to tariffs. The shipping department at Aura made sure that the customs information was filled out correctly, leaving me with no duties to pay, for which I am eternally grateful. Awed by the quality of my save-the-dates, proceeding with the rest of my suite was a no-brainer, which included a main invite, detail card, and reply card. The turnaround time was similarly rapid, and the quality of the work simply unmatched. To all designers, but especially those in the US, do not let the idea of an international shipper stop you. I've never known a more professional company, period, and will certainly be reordering whenever my next printing job arises. SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESSES!
