While our wrap-up may lack amazing audio and celebrity thanks, we guarantee stunning visuals in premium print, gratitude for every single order you’ve placed with us over the year, and the highest hopes for 2024.

The Year Aura Print Became a Rowing Team
We’re kicking off our 2023 wrap-up with arguably the biggest challenge our team has faced this year. As you can imagine, Aura Print is made up of an awesome team of printers, finishers, designers, customer service experts, and marketers, none of whom were particularly well-versed in the art of canoeing. That was until summer 2023…
Taking on the challenge of rowing Loch Ness (54 miles!) for Cleckheaton’s ‘The Howarth Foundation’, the boldest, bravest members of our team took to the Scottish Highlands armed with camping gear and lots of layers in preparation for a weekend on the monster loch. Of course, Scottish weather had other plans, forcing our team to divert away from Loch Ness and its monstrous waves for the more sheltered shores of Loch Arkaig, Loch Lochy, Loch Oich, and the Caledonian Canal, to “Row to Loch Ness” instead of rowing the treacherous Loch itself.
Rowing approximately 45 miles over the course of 2-days, our team battled wind, rain, midges, capsizes, uncomfortable wild camping spots, and spilled dinner, eventually raising an incredible £5,034 for The Howarth Foundation, securing us a Special Achievement Award at the charities Business Building Futures Award Ceremony.

The Year of Sustainability in Print
This year, our team has worked harder than ever to pave the way for sustainability in the print industry. Building on our carbon-neutral papers, plant-based toners, and energy-efficient printing presses, this year we’ve been immensely proud to introduce not one, not two, not three, but four sustainable paper stocks, most of which can be found in the G.F.Smith Bio Cycle range.
Cultivated from a range of natural materials, including cotton, cellulose, plant fibers, wheat, and more, we’ve introduced these innovative stocks as a solution for environmentally conscious brands and customers looking for a compostable alternative to popular coated classics.
Joining our popular Recycled & Kraft stocks, we’ve been thrilled to introduce Cotton, Cannabis, Rag, and Wheat to our paper range, which are all available on most flat, non-foiled products.
What’s more, we’re proud to have donated a sizable amount of waste craft produce to a local Huddersfield Nursery this year, allowing shimmering foil off-cuts and cardstock cut-offs to gain a new lease of life in the hands of creative youngsters.

The Year of Coffee Fuelled Productivity
You might question why we’re shouting out our beloved coffee machine in our wrap-up, but I’m sure the caffeine addicts amongst you will understand.
Before 2023, the caffeine-reliant members of the Aura Print team had to settle for instant coffee (yuck!) to give them the pep in their step needed to help make your print dreams a reality, but no longer I tell you! With our swanky new coffee machine, our team is spoiled for choice. From the mocha to the cappuccino, the classic flat white to a good old Americano, we’ve spent the year caffeinated and thrilled about it!
But wait, let me just take a bow to our hot chocolate before wrapping up the coffee machine section of this update. Believe it or not, not everyone in our team is powered by caffeine, some of us are head over heels for Belgian hot chocolate. Made with the perfect combination of chocolate and frothy milk… wait, this isn’t what you came here for and I’m totally off track.
Time for a coffee, I think.
The Year We Doubled-Up on Lamination
Lamination, lamination, lamination. At Aura Print, we apply our silky soft-touch lamination to every single foil order, and our customers absolutely adore our lamination options, so much so that most of our orders are finished with a coat of ultra-thin, uber-sleek laminate.
In 2022, along with a huge increase in orders (thank you, thank you, thank you!), we saw a massive increase in the amount of you demanding lamination as a customization option. With the option to add soft-touch, matt, or glossy lamination to almost every product on our shelves, you truly took advantage, so we simply had to buy a second laminator!
With each laminator coating up to 60 SRA4 sheets per hour, our production floor is now more productive than ever, allowing you to add lamination to your order with minimal change to your order turn-around time. How good is that!
